Gilded Nymph Face Cream

I have combo skin, and in the Summer when it's hot, sticky, and humid, I get oily in my t-zone, and not in a pretty, dewy kinda way! Mattifying creams on the market seem to dry out my skin, which doesn't surprise me due to the fact that most of them contain talc powder and aluminum! So I set out to create an organic botanical cream that could help control oil production, without drying my skin. I wanted a pretty, dewy golden glow! Like a golden, beaming forest nymph. Not too shiny, not too matte. The type of glow that looks like it comes from within because your skin is so healthy! I think I achieved just that with this Gilded Nymph Face Cream!

I knew I wanted to combine helichrysums antioxidant and anti-aging benefits, with the anti-inflammatory properties, antimicrobial acne fighting power of propolis and honey. But I needed to find a natural alternative to the nasty talc and aluminum that is usually used in creams designed to keep skin from looking too oily. And I did not want to use mineral powders, because they seemed to clog my pores, and feel heavy on my skin. I found what I was looking for in a new natural product derived from honey. The product is created by a leading natural cosmetic ingredient producer. Certain molecules are isolated from honey to create a liquid product that can be formulated into creams. This honey derived science-based ingredient is called "Honey Matte", and it not only helps control oil without stripping and drying your skin, but it also lends moisturization to the skin. Instead of a harsh matte finish, or an overly oily complexion, it gives skin the perfect satin glow! 

Helichrysum, a sweet honeyed flower. The scent of it's flowers and leaves conjures apple cider donuts that have been drenched in maple syrup, and dotted with sweet yellow flowers. The name Helichrysum, it's origins Greek, helios meaning sun, and chrysos meaning gold. Helichrysum has been used and revered in skincare for centuries, beginning with the ancient Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians. Known to reverse the signs of aging, it was nick named "Immortelle", and "Everlasting". Research and studies have recently shown Helichrysum has an incredibly high amount of antioxidants that are beneficial to skin.  The antioxidants contained within Helichrysum have been shown to reduce discoloration by promoting skin cell turn over, giving skin an even, healthy glow, and smoothing fine lines by stimulating collagen production. It's also highly antifungal and antibacterial, and contains constituents that reduce inflammation. It is known to be effective for acne, redness, and rosacea. The Helichrysum extraction in this formulation is created from our our organically grown Helichrysum. It is created by extracting the plant material in organic food grade alcohol, the plant material is strained, the extract is filtered, and the alcohol is evaporated, leaving behind the pure extract. A full, whole plant extraction. We distilled the flowers and the leaves of our garden grown Helichrysum to create an artisan hydrosol, which is the water portion of this cream. I've also included the most beautiful Helichrysum Floral Wax I have ever sourced. It is created specifically for use in skincare, and besides smelling of honey, it is incredibly silky and soft. To top off all if these beautiful extractions, I've sourced and added a concentrated extraction of Helichrysum that is created specifically for skincare. The multitude of Helichrysum extractions ensure this cream provides all of the magic the plant has to offer. 

Propolis and Honey are a delectable treat for skin. Both propolis and honey are highly antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory. Propolis is made up of the resins our honey bees collect from the flowers, plants, and trees. We humanely harvest propolis from our honey bees. We install a special screen, after the bees have covered the inside of the hive in propolis. We do not scrape it from their hive, but instead collect the extra propolis they gift to us after their own hive is properly covered for the season. The propolis smells amazing! Like the sweetest forest honey you have ever smelled! Our raw organic honey smells floral and delicious, and in this formulation it soothes with it's moisturizing, emollient creamy goodness! 

I'm using my beloved fruit seed oils; cranberry seed oil, blueberry seed oil, blackberry seed oil, and plum seed oil. The plum seed oil has a luxurious gourmand, fruity, almond-y scent. The blueberry seed oil has the sweet zing  of blueberry skin. Cranberry and Blackbeery seed oils don't have much of a fragrance, but their antioxidants, and non-greasy, silky feel, lend beautifully to the forest berry seed oil medley. There's also Jojoba oil infused with our dried garden grown Helichrysum flowers, spicy and untamed, it smells of honey and spice.

The fragrance of Gilded Nymph Face Cream is incredible, and solely contributed by the botanical extractions within the formulation. The scent is truly like Honey and Helichrysum! It's golden summer sunshine and moonlight spun into a cream and infused with ancient medicine for the skin.
