Incense Sticks

These incense "sticks" are actually stickless, they do not have inner cores of bamboo. The process is quite long for their creation. Botanicals we grow here in our organic garden, and wild harvested from our Forest, are ground and sifted until I have a very fine powder. This is aged for several months, and then bound with all natural Laha inner bark powder, Makko, and our own artisan hydrosols. Once the incense dough is mixed and rested, I use clay extruding tools to create sticks, and dry them on handcrafted drying racks. Once the wands are completely dry, I "paint" them with my own resin and plant extractions. Once the moisture has evaporated, I package them in glass tubes with wooden corks. I find this way, I can use many ingredients that normally could only be used in small proportions, or do not burn well in a formed incense.

Each wand can be lit, and enjoyed a few times. My wands do not produce billows of heavy smoke, but rather a light beautiful, wispy smoke. It will remain lit until you are ready to put it out. A half of stick scents my entire home, and the sweet, woody, honeyed scents linger for a few hours in the air after extinguishing. These incense sticks do not contain chemical fire starter. Hold a flame to the tip until it's cherried, and enjoy!
