Mulled Apple and Pumpkin For The Princess~Perfume
There lived a Princess
At the edge of the orchard
She refused to eat anything
Other than apple and pumpkin
And so 3 seasons of the year
She wittled away
Until she was almost not even there
And then came her favorite time of year
The apples were heavy
And the pumpkins fat
All the king's horses
And all the king's men
Worked day and night
Harvesting a feast for the princess
The royal chef prepared pumpkins pregnant with all kinds of fillings
The baker's made pumpkin bread smothered in apple butter,
and pumpkin and apple pies spiced just right
The wine makers mulled the finest apple and pumpkin liquors
And the maids rolled apples in caramel,
while the butlers carved edible jack-o'-lanterns
The Princess as skinny as a fiddle
Gorged and feasted
She ate, and ate, and ate
Apple after pumpkin
And pumpkin after apple
All the king's horses
And all the king's men
Tried to get her to stop
But she continued to eat
The king's court left her to her glutinous feast
And when they returned the next day
All that was left of the Princess
Was a pile of apples and pumpkins
This perfume is a melange of Autumn! The apple note is truly beautiful. The essential oil from our artisan co-distillation of Apple, Goldenrod, Queen Anne's Lace, and Sweet Annie Artemisia has a crisp apple note that is divine! But what happened when I began adding the my other handcrafted extractions is just amazing! A tri-absolute of clove, ginger, and cinnamon, mull the apples and herbs into the sweet maple and apple cider of Helichrysum, and just a touch of my handcrafted cherried Tahitian Vanilla Oleo-resin which adds an apple illusion, of baked pie and tarts, and chalices full of Autumn brew and spice. This perfume is incredibly diffusive, and long lasting, and is set into a creamy solid base of Pumpkin Seed Oil, Plum Seed Oil, and Almond Butter.
