The Starburst Faeries Maple Honey Facial Cleanser utilizes Organic Raw Honey from our organic treatment free, smoke free honey bee hives, and Maple Syrup we create from the sap of our sugar maples are combined with an all natural coconut derived soap, Willow Bark Glycerite, Licorice Root Glycerite, Propolis Extract, and Frankincense Extract, to create a beautiful, preservative free face cleanser.
 
This is a riff on our cult favorite Honey Facial Cleansers. This Honey Facial Cleanser utilizes the amazing skin healing and humectant benefits of our raw organic honey we harvest from our honey bee hives. It is blended with our own maple syrup, created from the sap we tap from our sugar maples by hand in a traditional, sustainable manner.
 
Maple syrup is rich in natural malic acid, which is beneficial for gently exfoliating dead skin cells.
 
Willow bark contains natural salicin, which is highly effective at clearing breakouts and blackheads.
 
Propolis, also produced from our honey bees, is a highly antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory substance the bees make from plant and flower resins. It knocks out skin irritation, promotes new skin growth and healing, and fights fungal and bacterial acne.
 
Finally, the formulation contains licorice root, which is known to help even skin tone and discoloration, and fade sun spots and acne scars over time.
 
The magic is within the honey. Our honey is organic and harvested directly from our treatment free, smoke free honey bee hives. The honey is not heated, and is gently strained rather than filtered, keeping it's antimicrobial properties and pro and prebiotics intact. We never ever feed our bees sugar, but instead we harvest only the extra honey, leaving them plenty for Winter and early Spring. Beekeepers who over harvest honey from their hives, must supplement their bees by feeding sugar. This is not the way we beekeep, never have, never will. We believe in the natural process, our bees feed from the many plants we grow in our gardens, and also from the wild flora and forest. This process allows the bees to create a honey that is rich in pro and prebiotics, vitamins, minerals, and of course plant magic.
 
The formula is very mild and gentle, yet highly effective. The humectant properties of the honey, maple, and plant sugars help to draw water to the skin, giving skin a healthy, plump appearance, which can be locked on with your favorite moisturizer or face cream. All of our Honey Face Cleansers are appropriate for daily use. I use mine morning and night!
