Water Nymph Pressed Oil Balm

I have to pay homage to the Water Nymphs, muses, friends that whisper their secrets to me in my water filled dreams.......

Breezy blue ribbons of botanical extractions merge with silky oils and creamy butters. Our own bright blue Yarrow essential oil distilled from our organically grown yarrow flowers, is blended harmoniously with our Blue Hemlock essential oil, distilled from our forest trees. Organic German Chamomile Co2, sourced from the United States, and my own infusion of Blue Indigo leaves work synergistically with the essential oils to heal and nurture skin. In a base of blueberry seed oil, organic jojoba oil and chia seed butter.

This balm melts immediately upon contact with the skin. Although it is a balm, it applies and feels like an oil serum; silky, very fast absorbing, leaving no greasiness behind. It's very concentrated, and a small pea size amount is all it takes to leave your face skin in bliss. 

If the color, texture, and benefits aren't enough to make you swoon, the scent will! It's reminiscent of the fragrance surrounding me as I sip on iced herbal tea and dip my toes into the forest creek, the invigorating scent of the brisk, fresh water immersing me. It is after all the once secret formula of the water nymphs, their precious face balm served up on cool river rocks. It's how they keep their skin cool, happy, and glowing!

 I designed this balm for use during the day. Originally, I created it as something light and nourishing for Spring time, but I now find it very useful for keeping "maskne" at bay.  

Organic, Garden Grown and Wildcrafted Artisan Distilled Yarrow Essential Oil- a rich blue color due to the high levels of Chamazulene, which are created when the constituent Matricin contained within Yarrow,  decomposes through the steam distillation process. We use three cultivars of Yarrow to produce this oil. Chamazulene is highly desirable in skincare for it's amazing antinflammatory actions, reducing redness, acne, and skin irritations.
 
German Chamomile Co2- I sourced an incredible German Chamomile Co2 extract specifically for this formulation. It contains remarkable levels of Bisabolol. Studies have shown Bisabolol can penetrate very deep into the skin, stimulating cell turnover and growth, protecting cells with it's antioxidant benefits, and restoring moisture and suppleness, fighting the sings of aging. It's also anti-irritant, while helping other ingredients penetrate more readily. 

Wildcrafted, Artisan Distilled, Blue Hemlock Essential Oil, a powerful ingredient within the formulation, used at a very low concentration. Blue Hemlock Essential Oil has tightening properties, it will assist in keeping pores clean and clear from build up, making them appear smaller. It aids in skin cell turnover, helping to free dead skin cells, smoothing and tightening the skin. 

Blueberry Seed Oil-silky and fast absorbing, it's full of antioxidants, vitamins, and nutrients that skin loves. 

Organic Jojoba Oil infused with Blue Spruce Resin - Jojoba Oil is my favorite oil of all time. It mimics the skin natural lipid barrier, feeding skin the fatty acids and oils it needs to keep the skin barrier healthy and protected. The addition of Blue Spruce Resin provides a boost of antimicrobial actiin for not only the skin, but for the formulation itself. Blue Spruce Resin also aids in circulation, helping to keep skin plump and tight, and it's antinflammatory properties help calm skin irritations and redness. 

Indigo Leaf Extract- possesses restorative and smoothing properties for skin, and is a little known secret, and ancient tradition of Japanese Geishas to use Indigo Leaf in their skincare to keep their skin flawless. 

Chia Seed Butter- creamy, decadent, and fast absorbing. Chia Seed Butter- is used in this formulation for not only to press the oils, but also chock-full of important saturated fatty acids, which are both integral to maintaining healthy skin cells and preventing the harmful effects of free radical damage. In other words, it packs a punch in skin care!
